Quality Assurance
Our emphasis is on quality in production and product, chain traceability, food safety and customers and end-user consumer confidence.
With years of experience, knowledge and competence, our main objective as a food processor is to supply our customers with seafood products of unquestionable quality, which we back with our 100% satisfaction guarantee.
Our farmers and all partners in our value chain focus primarily on the safety of the fish, their people and the environment. We produce fish in compliance with the sustainability of the site and its location - and at all times with cage densities conductive to correct fish welfare.
Specifications from our customers, alongside national standards, company documentation and food safety laws and regulations, form the basis of our efforts, providing products that satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers.
Standard Operating Practises (SOP’s) regarding risk management with respect to food safety are managed according to HACCP principles. The Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) tool for the identification and control of potential food safety risks is fully implemented at our plant in Cumbria.
All of our products are delivered with a traceability report, showing all relevant and necessary information on the history of the product, the production process and other important factors (feeds used, vaccination, veterinary records etc.)
About our Accreditations:
BAP (Best Aquaculture Practices)
BAP is the world’s most trusted and comprehensive third-party aquaculture certification programme - and the only certification to cover the entire aquaculture production chain from hatcheries and farms, to feed and processing plants.
We are one of a small number of processing plants in the UK to hold the BAP processing accreditation.
BAP standards are built on the four pillars of sustainability (environmental responsibility, animal health and welfare, social accountability, and food safety), with traceability as the foundation.
